Getting Here

The New Zealand Liberation Museum – Te Arawhata is located at 18 Rue Achille Carlier, Le Quesnoy.
The town is in northern France and easy to get to by train or car. There is no local airport.

We’ve prepared a handy guide for anyone thinking about coming over for a visit, with in-depth information about transport, accomodation, things to do and places to see.

BY TRAIN

Le Quesnoy has a local train station, which is a one-hour train journey from Lille train station. Lille is a one-hour TGV train ride from Paris and less than 1.5 hours on Eurostar from London.

BY CAR

Le Quesnoy is a 2.5-hour drive from Paris, a 45-minute drive from Lille, and a 1.5-hour drive from Brussels.

ACCOMMODATION

Le Quesnoy has no hotels in the town, but there are several Airbnb and bed and breakfast options. Valenciennes is the nearest large town, 20 kms away, with a good selection of different types of accommodation.

We recommend booking B&B or home-stay style accommodation through the Gites du Nord website as AirBNB options can be limited.
