Te Arawhata presents an exceptional event this summer: TROY KINGI IN CONCERT IN LE QUESNOY.
Troy Kingi (Te Arawa, Ngāpuhi, Te Whānau-ā-Apanui) is a multi-award-winning, multi-genre musician.
Described by the New Zealand Music Commission as “Our Northland Treasure”, Troy rose to fame after the release of his first two multi-award-winning albums ‘Guitar Party at Uncles Bach’ and ‘Shake That Skinny Ass All the Way to Zygertron’.
A hard task master on his own creativity, he is nearing the end-point of his aspirational 10 | 10 | 10 Series (releasing 10 albums in 10 different genres in 10 years).
On stage Troy is a magnetic and unpredictable live performer and has built a devoted following across Aotearoa, showcasing a different sonic world with every album and cementing his reputation as one of the countries most exciting acts on the festival circuit.
Troy’s concert will take place on Saturday 22 August at 7pm in the ramparts of Le Quesnoy, not far from the Dame au Chien Statue.
The event is free and can be attended without any tickets or reservation.
